European Seafreight challenges

As most of you will be aware, 2024 has been a year of significant delays for sea cargo coming to New Zealand. The number one contributor to most of the delays is the Red Sea conflict.

A link I can point to that helps to explain these delays is an MFAT article below. Although it's dated June 2024, it forecasts the issues we are currently facing.

We don’t have a great solution for these delays, but the delays are there. We are working hard to let everyone know of the delays, as soon as we can, as we know they impact everyone! It is a challenge to keep on top of them all.
