From Monday 14th March Italian Road Haulage companies announced a possible suspension of services nationwide, due to the sudden increase of fuel costs.

It is neither a strike nor a specific claim, but an initiative aimed at coordinating the demonstrations on the state of emergency in the logistic sector, according to The Trade Union “Transportunito”.

The increase in fuel prices have been constant in recent weeks and is putting pressure on the entire sector.

There has also been an announcement that from Saturday 19th March throughout Italy, demonstrations will be held asking for Government intervention on the issue of rising fuel prices.
